A joint effort between ISU Extension and Outreach, Region XII Council of Governments (COG) in Carroll, Trees Forever and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources are sponsoring a series of informational meetings about trees.

Topics that will be covered include an overview of tree health management, pest treatment options and costs, general tree maintenance and available funding programs.  ISU Extension Entomologist Dr. Mark Shour, DNR Foresters and Trees Forever representatives will lead the discussions.  All meetings are free and open to the public.  City officials are strongly urged to attend.

The meetings kick off tomorrow morning at Panora City Hall from 9-11:30am.  The next one will be later in the afternoon from 1:30-4pm at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson.  Other meetings will be in Sac and Crawford counties in April and at Audubon and Carroll counties in May.

For more information, call Ainsley Brungardt with Region XII COG at 712-775-7814.
