Starting next school year, Paton-Churdan and Glidden-Ralston will have a new superintendent.
Current Superintendent Rob Olsen will be the new shared superintendent for Newell-Fonda and Albert City-Truesdale. He accepted the position on February 27th. Before he became P-C and G-R’s superintendent, Olsen was an elementary principal in Okoboji. Olsen says he’s learned a lot in the two years with both districts. He adds the reason why he wanted to be a superintendent is to have a greater impact on student learning.
Olsen appreciates being able to work with both school boards.
“Their support and being able to work with both districts, I couldn’t ask for a better school board from either school district. I appreciate their continued support for me as I move on.”
Olsen’s new job will take effect July 1st.
P-C and G-R will continue to share a superintendent. Both boards will work together to hire a new superintendent for the 2015-16 school year.
