The Children’s Department of the Jefferson Public Library is gearing up for Ready Reader’s Story Time again.
Children’s Librarian Terry Clark says Ready Reader’s Story Time is for kids ages three to six years-old on Wednesday’s from 10-11:30am. Parents are encouraged to stay and bring younger kids to learn how to read. Clark talks about other activities that they do during the program.
“They’re usually themed programs. And so we do crafts, and games, and puppets and all kinds of different things; some look and find activities sometimes. Just a great time for the kids (with) learning activities. And then at the end of the program, we have a social time.”
This month’s theme is “Grow Your Own Reading Garden” and so a variety of activities will be tailored to that theme.
No pre-registration is required for the free program. It will start on March 18th and end on April 29th. For more information, contact the Children’s Department at 386-4415.
