The Iowa State Patrol has released the name of the driver killed in a single vehicle rollover crash in Dallas County this morning.

19 year-old Mackenzie Dawn Van Schuyver was heading northbound on Highway 141 east of the Woodward exit, shortly after 5:30am.  She allegedly fell asleep at the wheel of her 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix and lost control when the car left the roadway and entered the outside ditch.  The vehicle rolled twice and Van Schuyver, who was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.  The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
