A planned controlled burn of West Central Cooperative’s old feed mill in Scranton that was scheduled for this weekend has been delayed.
The structure is on the site of West Central’s property and it was suppose to be a training exercise for fire departments and emergency medical service teams. West Central’s Communication Director Alicia Clancy says it was suppose to take place this Sunday. It has been delayed so utility companies can finish preparing the site. The training won’t likely happen until later this summer.
She adds that over 30 area fire departments and EMS teams were invited to participate.
