In just a few short weeks, dozens of bicycle enthusiasts, business owners and economic development experts will gather in Perry for the Bike Trail Tourism Conference, hosted by the City of Perry and Common Thread.
The event aims to teach trail communities how to create new opportunities on area recreational trails. It takes place at the Hotel Pattee on Thursday, April 2nd from 9am to 3:30pm.
Bike trail expert Michael Gould with the Iowa Economic Development Authority will be there to share his insight, followed by four different panels talking about everything from way-finding and signage, to successful business practices and ways to use technology to market your business.
The cost to attend is $20 per person, which includes lunch and conference materials. Pre-registration is due by Monday, March 30th.
