Several entities in Perry are joining forces for an event aimed at teaching locals how to develop a “customer first” culture.

The Effective Customer Service workshop takes place on Thursday, March 26th from 8am until noon at the Hotel Pattee.  It’s a collaboration between the Perry Chamber, Des Moines Area Community College, the Hotel Pattee and Alliant Energy.

Chamber Executive Director Bob Wilson says it will be both casual and informational.

“What we’re trying to do is remind everyone of customer service and its importance.  Little things go a really long way.  It’s very important, I think, customer service across all sectors, internal, external, public, private, whatever it is.  This will be a nice refresher course. “

Attendees will learn strategies to create increased customer satisfaction and ways to identify how to best serve customers on a day-to-day basis.

The cost to participate is $5 for Chamber members and $7 for non-members.  To reserve your spot, stop by the Chamber office or call 465-4601.
