The Guthrie County Relay for Life Kickoff Event will take place next week in Guthrie Center. Organizer Gigi Nelson says they have the same teams enter the Guthrie relay every year and they’re looking to expand the event in 2015. Nelson says the Kickoff Event is for brand new teams, or well established teams who have been walking the relay for years. “They enjoy seeing each other year after year, to see who’s going to be walking that year.  If you don’t know a soul there, it’s just fine. You’ll be very welcome there. You’ll enjoy it.”

The event takes place Wednesday, March 18th from 5 to 7 pm at Sneakers Cafe inside of Guthrie County Hospital and will feature refreshments and door prizes.
