ADM wrestling took home a lot of hardware on Saturday, as the Tigers captured the Class 2A Sectional 6 title, riding the strong wrestling of six Tigers that secured titles at their respective weight classes.

Seniors Trevor Harsh (138 pounds), and Zach Ostendorf (220 pounds), juniors Zach Johnston (160 pounds), Nathan Heath (285 pounds) and Hunter Gibson (195 pounds) and sophomore Cole Bennett (182 pounds) all won their respective weight classes to secure a spot at this Saturday’s district competition at Ballard.

Junior Kyle Wilkerson (126 pounds) finished second to also secure a spot in Huxley.

As a team, ADM bested Carlisle, Perry, Van Meter, Woodward-Granger and the host Eagles.

The Tigers found out shortly after their sectional championship they’ll be headed to LaPorte City on Tuesday for a showdown with #1 ranked Union in the first round of the regional duals. The winner of #48 ADM and LaPorte City would take on the winner of Webster City and Gilbert for a berth at the state duals in Des Moines, one of the Tigers’ preseason goals.
