The dates for the annual Greene County High School Football Coaching Clinic in Jefferson are just around the corner. The strength and conditioning portion of the clinic will be held on Friday, March 6 at the Power Lift facility along E. Highway 30, while the Saturday, March 7 football portion will be at Greene County High School.
Power Lift has three collegiate strength and conditioning coaches lined up to speak in Eric Klein of the U. of Minnesota, Jed Smith from the U. of Northern Iowa, and Kyle Speer from Georgia Southern U.
Numerous high school and college football coaches are scheduled to present during the Saturday portion of the clinic, including Jeff McMartin of Central College, Nathan Roach of Wartburg College, Tom Shae from Upper Iowa U., Brad Pole from Drake U., and Kevin Twait of Iowa Central Community College. Ft. Dodge St. Edmond coach Dick Tighe is one of the high school coaches who will be speaking. Tighe will talk about getting to the UNI-Dome after 60 years of being an Iowa high school football coach, among other topics.
Greene County’s HS head football coach is Dean Lansman, who is also Activities Director. Assistant football coach Kevin Paulsen is the clinic director.
