A local business is partnering up with a local school to help raise money for some needed equipment.
The Perry Hy-Vee hopes to help St. Patrick’s Catholic School purchase new playground equipment and a new dishwasher this week. The grocery store has agreed to donate 10 percent of receipts collected today and tomorrow to the school.
Shoppers who stop by Hy-Vee during the fundraiser can simply tell the cashier they want a portion of their receipt to go to the school and Hy-Vee will add it to their donation total.
The new playground equipment will meet the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements and create an environment that supports inclusive and interactive play for children of all abilities. The new industrial dishwasher will replace the current model that has been used for more than three decades. In addition to supporting the lunch program at the school, the dishwasher is also used by the Regina Guild for dinners, the Knights of Columbus for their fish fries and for funeral receptions.
For more information on the fundraiser, you can stop by Hy-Vee or the school.
