Every staff member at the Dallas County Hospital has taken a step toward preventing influenza by being vaccinated this season.
The “Be Wise, Immunize” campaign was developed by the hospital’s Flu Vaccination Committee and helped educate employees on the importance of the immunization and what it meant to the safety of both patients and visitors.
Ancillary Services Manager Audrey Erickson, who also serves as the vaccination committee chair, says, “We all know that the best way to stop the spread of the flu is to get the yearly vaccination” and their employees truly care about those they serve.
The flu season is expected to continue for several weeks and if you haven’t yet been immunized, contact your healthcare provider for information on how to get the vaccination.
