Cobblestone Hotels To Start Construction In Jefferson Tomorrow

Cobblestone Hotels will be starting construction of their attached three-story building to Wild Rose Jefferson on Monday.

Chris VanCampenhout is the project manager for BriMark Builders, LLC. and says construction crews will begin to arrive on Monday and they will start the process to build their structure.

Once the land is marked, the foundation will be dug and the cement will be poured, followed by underground plumbing and utilities installed.  A concrete slab will then be poured, followed by the construction of the wooden frame for the 72 room hotel.  VanCampenhout points out that this will be the largest hotel they’ve ever built of the seven Cobblestone Hotel locations in Iowa.  The original plans were for 71 rooms,  but VanCampenhout notes that they were able to change the location of an elevator which allowed them to put another room in the building.

The hotel will be attached to the casino complex, but it will be separately owned and operated by Cobblestone Hotels.

BriMark Builders signed their contract with Cobblestone last week and VanCampenhout says the hotel will be completed by August 1st which is the same anticipated opening date for the casino.
