The first month of 2015 started with a snow storm but remained calm and mild the rest of the month. The same seems to be true for February, at least so far.
After the largest storm of the season last week, the Raccoon River Valley has been dry since our last report.
Perry’s precipitation total remains at 1.22 inches this month, or 0.43 inch above the normal total for the month. Jefferson has received just under an inch of precipitation already, currently 0.06 inch remaining before the normal monthly average is met and Guthrie Center is showing just a quarter of an inch of precipitation so far this month, according to the National Weather Service.
There’s no strong chance of precipitation in the immediate forecast.
