Greene County and Panorama (Panora) square off tonight in Rippey in non-conference JV/varsity girls’ basketball. The Panthers have won 10 games in a row and are ranked seventh in Class 2A at 18-2 overall. They clinched the West Central Activities Conference title on Friday night with a 61-37 victory at Ogden. The Rams are 7-12 overall and they’ve lost five games in a row after falling at home on Friday night to 3A number 11 Saydel (Des Moines) by a 43-30 score. Tonight’s game is in Rippey because the gymnasium will be dedicated to the late Bill and Maybel Wisecup, who left estate money to renovate the facility.

The varsity game will be broadcast on KG98 with coverage starting at 7:15 p.m. and tipoff set for approximately 7:30 p.m. The game is the last of the regular season for the Panthers, but the Rams have a girl/boy doubleheader in Jefferson with Roland-Story (Story City) on Tuesday night in the middle school gym.
