The final regular season road games for the Paton-Churdan basketball teams were Friday night and resulted in a two-game sweep of a Rolling Valley Activities Conference doubleheader over Boyer Valley in Dunlap. The Rockets won 53-48 in the girls’ game and 64-53 on the boys’ side.
Kasey Lane had 19 points, Carleigh Paup 16, and Sydney Koch 13 for P-C, as the Rockets improved to 12-6 in the Rolling Valley and 12-7 overall.
The P-C boys (16-3, 16-2) had 31 points from Jake Carey and 21 by Noah Juergensen as they won their sixth straight game and fourteenth in the last 15 games. The Rockets remain in second place in the league behind undefeated Ar-We-Va (Westside).
The P-C teams are at home in Churdan on Feb. 9 and 10. Monday, it’s a doubleheader vs. Woodbine at 6 p.m. with the the girls first, followed by the boys. A makeup twin bill on Tuesday to close the regular season with West Harrison (Mondamin) in Churdan begins at 5 p.m. for the girls and the boys to follow.
