The 38th annual Bike Ride to Rippey was a great success for the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce Saturday.
Chamber Executive Director Bob Wilson says he’s thrilled with the way it all turned out.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better BRR. We have over 800 people registered. The weather is beautiful. The roads are clear. The volunteers, the staff at the hotel, all of the people that made it possible just really went above and beyond to showcase Perry, how bike friendly Perry is and I think it really helped promote the Perry Chamber and all of the great things that we do for the community. I have heard from so many people telling us that this is one of the best organized rides they’ve been a part of and obviously one of the most fun rides. For 38 years we are a tradition, we are the original winter bike ride and we’re proud to continue doing that and keeping Perry on the map.”
Around 500 people preregistered for the ride and several hundred signed up the day of, with totals higher than last year’s event.
