A sure sign that spring is right around the corner, the National Weather Service has announced a storm spotter class in Menlo for next month. Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Kempf says the interesting event is free and open to anyone. “I learn something new every year. They’ll go over different types of cloud formations. The difference between different types of weather emergencies, and what really makes a tornado.”
The class will be at the Menlo Community Building on March 18th at 7 pm. No prior registration is required.
