About two inches of snow have fallen across the Raccoon River Valley since 6:30 a.m. this morning. Perry is currently at 9 inches of snow, Jefferson at 8.5 inches, and Stuart is just shy of 8 inches. The National Weather Service says another 2-3 inches are possible before the storm subsides later this afternoon. Even though the bulk of this storm fell overnight, Guthrie and Adair County Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Kempf says conditions are not improving, it’s still snowing and winds are picking up. A winter weather warming remains in effect until 9 pm this evening for Guthrie, Adair, Greene and Dallas counties.
