The Perry basketball teams will try to get back on the winning track tonight when they host Carroll in a Raccoon River Conference doubleheader. The Jayettes will look to snap a two game losing skid against a Carroll team that is winless in RRC action. Maggie Lowe and Grace Marburger returned to the Perry lineup Tuesday night in the narrow 52-50 loss to 3rd ranked Ballard.
The boys matchup looks to be an intriguing one as the Jays beat Carroll on a buzzer beating 3-point shot by Zach Roberts back in December. Perry has a one game advantage over Carroll in the conference standings as both teams continue to chase Bondurant Farrar. Perry is a game back of the other Bluejay in the conference. Perry will look to bounce back from a disappointing road loss to Ballard Tuesday night.
“The big thing I want to see from us tonight is simply put together a full 32 minute game,” added Perry Head Coach Ned Menke. “Plain and simple. We can’t have these prolonged scoring droughts and beat an athletic team like Carroll. We must sustain our energy for the entire 4 quarters.”

The Perry Booster Club will be selling merchandise tonight along with bringing back the t-shirt blaster gun for the spectators. The active Perry I-Jag group will be offering a complete spaghetti dinner in the commons all night long. All military and one guest will be admitted free as Perry host Military Appreciation Night. Both veterans and current military are invited to attend.
