West Central Valley’s girls varsity basketball head coach Drew Stonewall says he was ecstatic to learn his team would be hosting a first round regional playoff game next month. However, Stonewall says he doesn’t know much about their opposition yet, Greene County, “They’ve got about a .500 record, just like us. They’ve also played some really good competition like Nevada, PCM, North Polk. Up in that conference there’s some pretty good teams. Other than that, I don’t know a whole lot about them, but any time you get to host a regional game, you’re pretty happy.”

Stonewall’s team has next Tuesday the 3rd off, and he says they plan to go, watch and film Greene County’s game against North Polk. The Regional game will take place on the night of Valentine’s Day, February 14th, tip off is scheduled for 7 pm at West Central Valley High School in Stuart.
