Guthrie County Attorney Mary Benton made a 2015/16 Fiscal Year budget presentation the county supervisors yesterday, in which she stated that major administrative costs for her office included the rising cost of printer toner, which she projects she will need fifteen-hundred dollars worth of in the upcoming fiscal year, as well as the computer program ProLaw, a law office management software which Benton says costs upwards of two thousand dollars a year. Benton gave the supervisors a few different options in budgets for the upcoming fiscal year, while stating that Guthrie County sees many more cases than Iowa counties of a similar population, due partly to its proximity to a major interstate.
