An accident at the John Deere plant in Paton sends one person to a hospital with injuries.
At 11:16 this morning, the Greene County Sheriff’s office, Greene County Emergency Medical Services and Grand Junction Fire and Rescue all responded to an accident at the manufacturing facility east of Paton.
Greene County Deputy Dave Kersey tells Raccoon Valley Radio that an employee was pinched between two pieces of machinery inside the facility. When he arrived on scene, the individual was released from a planter and was on the ground receiving medical attention. Kersey states that the victim said he had extreme pain in his lower left leg and lower back. Kersey adds that the victim’s injuries didn’t appear to be life-threatening.
The employee was taken to the Greene County Medical Center by Greene County EMS for further treatment. The name of the victim and his current status is unknown at this time.
