A deputy assisted a motorist that had ran out of gas on Highway 144 near 280th Street.
The Chief Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to a reported single vehicle accident on 130th Street east of Paton. A 2003 Ford Excursion being driven by Aaliyh Renee Scott 17, of Pilot Mound was westbound on 130th Street when she lost control of the vehicle and it rolled onto its top into the south ditch. Aaliyh Scott and a passenger, Vanessa Lynn Scott 16, also of Pilot Mound, had to be extricated due to the vehicle being completely filled with snow as it slid on its top before coming to a complete stop. Aaliyha Scott was airlifted from the scene and taken to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Vanessa Scott was transported by Ogden EMS to Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames. The Ford Excursion was estimated to be a total loss. Units responding to the scene were Paton Fire, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue, Ogden Fire and EMS and Deputy’s from the Boone and Greene County Sheriff’s Offices.
The Sheriff was advised and responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on 230th Street near T Avenue. A 2007 Ford Mustang that was being driven by Sergio Luis Perez 16, of Rippey, was eastbound on 230th Street when he lost control of the vehicle, due to frost on the roadway. The car slid into the south ditch and struck a utility pole. Perez was extricated from his vehicle by responding fire units from Grand Junction and Jefferson. Perez was transported by the Greene County Emergency Medical Services to the Greene County Medical Center for further evaluation. The vehicle was estimated to be a total loss.
A deputy spoke with a resident in the 400 block of South 9th Street in Grand Junction about driving vehicles on the neighbor’s lawn.
A deputy assisted the Department of Human Services with an investigation in Grand Junction.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
