The Perry Community School District had their final site visit as they know it last week as representatives from the Department of Education toured the various attendance centers.
Superintendent Lynn Ubben says the three day long visits occurred every five years in the past but that will change after this year.
“They usually look over all your programs, they look over your policies, your handbooks, procedures, and usually have some good suggestions through the interviews with parents and students and teachers, so they usually give you some good information. There are always some things everyone can improve on and so we’re always anxious to see what are some things maybe someone else saw that we could do a little better” says Ubben.
Ubben says it will take a few weeks before the district receives the final report and recommentions.
We’ll have more with Ubben on today’s Let’s Talk Dallas County during the 9am, noon and 5pm hours on AM 1310 KDLS.
