Mandatory training classes for all 4-H leaders are being held regionally. Guthrie County Extension’s Vicki Frohling has the details on who needs to take the classes, “Regional, new, 4-H volunteer training is designed for new volunteers seeking a long term experience working with 4-H youth as club, youth or clover club leaders or assistance. Volunteers committing to these roles are required to attend a multi-region new volunteer training within the first 12 months of being screened and approved as a 4-H volunteer.”
There aren’t any training classes in Guthrie or Adair Counties this club year, but there is one reasonably close; Madison County Extension is holding a course this Saturday January 24th in Winterset. For more information, you can check out the 4-H section of the ISU Extension website.
