Greene County improved to 5-8 in dual meet wrestling and 1-3 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference with a 57-6 victory over Nevada in Jefferson on Thursday night. It was Senior Night and the final home meet of the season for Coach Mark Sawhill’s team, who honored their three seniors, Abe Yoder (132), Jordan Challen (138), and Jamie Theulen (220). Theulen won by forfeit while Yoder and Challen both won by fall. Cayden Gerdes (126) also won by fall with major decisions from Tommy Bradshaw (152), Isaiah Yoder (160). and Keyden Pollock (170). Kane Borgeson (113) won by 11-4 decision, and Mark Kendall (182), Hunter Ruth (195), and George Zito (285) won by forfeit. Isaac Ireland (120) lost by fall to Wayne Beard. No matches were held at 106 and 145 lbs.

The Rams go to Eldora on Saturday for the South Hardin tournament.
