The Perry wrestling team will host the 16 team Perry High Wrestling Invitational tomorrow inside the Perry Sports Pavilion.  Weigh-ins will be at 8:30 with coaches meeting at 9:00 inside the Brady Library.  The first matches will start at 10:30 am.  Perry has had all week to prepare for the Invitational and Head Coach Trevor Kittleson has started to switch up his practice focus this week.

“At the beginning of the year and before the holidays, we work a lot on technique and fundamentals.  Now we are starting to individualize a lot more with our varsity guys.  We know their strengths, we know their weaknesses.  Now we start to sharpen the sword and try to teach them what it will take to beat some of the better guys as we head down the stretch.  Its all about keeping your progress moving forward.”

Perry is a perfect 2-0 in RRC duals this year and will look to compete against some strong teams tomorrow.  Carlisle, Carroll, Dowling Catholic, Des Moines East, Des Moines Hoover/North, Eagle Grove, Logan Magnolia, Panorama, Saydel, South Hamilton, St Ansgar, St Edmond, VanMeter, Webster City and West Marshall represent the 16 team field.
