A deputy assisted a motorist with changing a flat tire on his vehicle at Neola Avenue and 170th Street.

A deputy checked the report of an erratic and careless driver on Highway 30 near Scranton. The vehicle was located and the deputy evaluated the driver’s actions.

Thursday, January 15th

A deputy investigated a careless driving concern on Highway 30 near D Avenue. The deputy was not able to locate the vehicle.

A deputy was dispatched to the 1100 block of South 8th Street in Grand Junction to investigate a harassment complaint.

A deputy was dispatched to a reported two vehicle accident in the 700 block Locust Street in Scranton. Douglas Allen Lange 41, of Scranton was northbound on Locust Street and attempting to turn left into his driveway, when a 2004 Chevrolet AVEO LS being driven by Matthew Phillip Rastetter 41, of Rockwell City failed to slow and struck the rear of the Lange 2009 Chevrolet Silverado K350. Neither driver was injured and only minor damage was reported to both vehicles. Matthew Rastetter was issued a citation for Failure to Stop in a Safe and Assured Distance.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
