Tonight in Panora, the Panorama Panthers girls basketball team will have their most meaningful game of the season, as they prepare to host conference rival Des Moines Christian. Panorama handed Des Moines Christian their only Class 2-A loss of the season back on December 2nd, it was in Urbandale, and by a single point. Both teams have two lost games since, Panorama to conference foe Woodward Granger, and Class 3-A opponent Shenandoah; Des Moines Christian’s two other losses have come to Class 4-A juggernauts; Carlisle and Perry. Tonight, the score will be settled, and the top spot in the West Central Conference is up for grabs, Panorama head coach Dan Druivenga believes it will be low scoring affair, much like the two team’s first matchup, which ended in Panorama’s favor 35 to 34, “I hope it’s a lower scoring game. When you play conference opponents twice, it seems like we know each other so well, it seems like it’s hard to score. We know each other’s shooters, and we know what offensive sets we each want to run.”
Tip off is at 6 pm at Panorama High School.
