Co’Motion Dance Theater, a product of Ames, Iowa will be performing at The Warren Cultural Center in Greenfield later this week, for a dance show that Cultural Center Executive Director Ken Sidey says is high tech, and unusual, “They make use of a projector, a computer and some body tracking technology, that allows the dancers to actually change the music, and the tempo of the song as they perform it. If they go to a particular spot on the stage, it triggers a certain type of music. And if they move to a different place, it changes the music. So, really each of the shows they do with that is a completely different, unique and dynamic show.”
In addition to the public show happening on Friday night, members of Co’Motion will be in town earlier in the day to give a workshop to kids on some of the dance moves that will be performed in the show. For more information. you can check out www.warrenculturalcenter.com.
