Two suspects involved in illegal drugs and poaching investigation will have their arraignments later this month in Greene County.
20 year-old Hossein Kolbehdari from Ankeny and 22 year-old Rheise Allen Presnall from Polk City are both charged with Class C Felonies for possession of cocaine with the intent to deliver, while in possession of a firearm, Class D Felonies for possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, while in possession of a firearm, aggravated misdemeanors for possession of Xanax with the intent to deliver, while in possession of a firearm and serious misdemeanors for assault on a peace officer.
A third suspect, 21 year-old Maxwell Steven McGlothlen from Ankeny pled not guilty to misdemeanors for harassment, assault and disorderly conduct.
All three will also face 78 charges from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for illegal poaching of wild game and illegal salvaging of wild animals.
Court documents show that on November 3rd, the Greene County Sheriff’s office and the Iowa DNR executed search warrants at a rental residence in the 300 block of C Avenue and the Sheriff’s office seized $39,559 in property which included a vehicle, drugs and cash. The DNR recovered $1,840 in illegal wild game.
The search warrants were issued after the alleged suspects were non-complaint with authorities after a complaint was made about possible illegal hunting in the northwest part of the county.
According to court documents, arraignments for Kolbehdari and Presnall are scheduled for December 29th and McGlothlen is waiting his hearing date.
