It may be hard to believe, but the annual Bike Ride to Rippey is just over seven weeks away and the Perry Area Chamber of Commerce is hard at work putting plans together.
Executive Director Bob Wilson says it’s a 38 year-old tradition that continues to be loved by many and supports other events and programs.
“This is the Chamber’s largest fundraiser and I think that a lot of times gets overlooked. It really helps set the year for programming, so we need local support” says Wilson.
Registration take place at the Hotel Pattee on Saturday, Feburary 7th and again the Perry Lions Club will be serving up breakfast. Wilson says though the concept of a cold weather ride isn’t unique to Perry anymore, the traditions of the original BRR ride live on.
“We’re really excited. This kind of keeps us on the map and it’s a great way to continue to bring tourism dollars to our community which supports a whole bunch of things economically and the Chamber’s just proud to be part of it.”
Anyone interested in sponsorship opportunities is encourage to stop by the Chamber or call 465-4601.
