Panora P.E.T.S is thanking the community for donating over four hundred dollars in one day to pay for the emergency amputation of the leg of a kitty, Vivian, who got caught in a trap near Panora. The surgery went well and now Vivian the kitty will recover for few weeks before being adopted out to an indoors-only home. Kristine Jorgensen of Panora P.E.T.S says they will never and have never turned down caring for an animal because of expense in treating it, and she says they are extremely grateful for the monetary gifts they receive from the public.
