A cut phone cable has been repaired at Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson.
Community Relations Director Carla Offenburger says construction crews working on the building expansion project accidentally cut a phone cable while boring for an oxygen system midday on Thursday.
All calls for service were directed to the main, non-emergency phone number to the medical center while Jefferson Telecom worked to repair the cable.
As of late Thursday, the cable has been repaired and all department and service phone numbers are active.
