The Greene County High School girls’ basketball team continues a busy stretch of scrimmages to prepare for the upcoming season. Coach Chad Morton’s Rams scrimmaged in Atlantic on Saturday against teams from Southwest Iowa. The Rams played Boone in Boone last night in an Iowa Pride Challenge Exhibition game. Tomorrow at 6:10 p.m., Greene County travels to Iowa Central Community College in Ft. Dodge to face Ogden for two quarters as part of a high school girls’ basketball jamboree.
The start of the regular season is less than a week away when the Rams meet PCM in Monroe on Tuesday, Nov. 25 as part of a JV/varsity girls’ twin bill starting at 6 p.m. The varsity game will be broadcast on KG98 and is expected to begin around 7:30 p.m. The Mustangs handled the Rams easily both times they met last season and PCM is expected to have one of the top teams in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference.
