Last week we told you about people leaving broken down vehicles on the sides of Guthrie Center streets for weeks, or even months on end. City Mayor Denny Kunkle says moving those vehicles from the street into your front yard is not a real, or even legal solution, “if it’s getting to be a nuisance. We can say it’s unsightly, and our police department can step up and say either fix up this vehicle so it runs, or get it out of here. We can tow it out, and then they have to pay the expenses of getting it back.”
