A deputy was dispatched to a car-deer accident on Highway 30 (220th Street) near K Avenue. Andrea Ruth Hartman 44, of Carroll was westbound on 220thStreet when a deer ran onto the roadway and was struck by her 2003 Saturn Ion. Hartman was not injured but her vehicle sustained an estimated $5000 in damages.
A deputy placed a kitten into the animal shelter in Jefferson after a Grand Junction resident brought the kitten to the Law Enforcement Center.
A deputy was advised of a pig that was found on the roadway at J Avenue just north of 280th Street. The hog will be kept by a local resident until the owner is determined.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a trail camera and what appears to be deer poaching in a pasture in the 300 block of 130th Street.
A deputy was able to locate the owner of several head of calves that were running at large on 190th Street near J Avenue.
A deputy assisted personnel from the Greene County Emergency Medical Services with a medical call in the 2000 block of Neola Avenue.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
