Here’s a look at your Dallas County election results. With all precincts reporting, incumbent Republican Supervisors Brad Golightly and Kim Chapman had no problem being reelected in their uncontested races.
Also on their way to another term are Republican incumbent Recorder Chad Airhart and Democrat incumbent County Attorney Wayne Reisetter, while Republican newcomber Mitch Hambleton was elected as Treasurer.
The majority of Dallas County voters, have also also chosen Terry Branstad as Governor and Kim Reynolds and as Lieutenant Governor with almost 65 percent of the vote. Republican incumbent State Representative Ralph Watts won reelection in District 19 with 98 percent of the vote, while longtime Republican State Representative Clel Baudler was defeated in Dallas County when Steve Roe received 54 percent of the vote. Winning in Dallas County for Secretary of State is Republican Paul Pate with 54 percent of the votes, Republican Mary Mosiman was chosen for Auditor of the State with 65 percent of the vote, Republican Sam Clovis won for State Treasurer race in Dallas County with 50 percent, the Attorney General winner was Democrat Tom Miller in a close race with just 51 percent and Bill Northey is on his way to another reelection as the Secretary of Agriculture with 70 percent of the vote in Dallas County.
In the national races, David Young won in Dallas County with 61 percent for U.S. House District 3 race and Joni Ernst won in Dallas County for the U.S. Senate race with 59 percent.
