Thousands of people will make their way to Perry this weekend for an annual fall event aimed at showcasing some of the state’s most talented artists.
The 5th annual Art on the Prairie takes place downtown Perry Saturday and Sunday.
It takes place in seven downtown buildings with more than 100 Iowa artists that work on everything from visual arts to performing arts and edible art and interactive activities.
Event President and co-founder Mary Rose Nichols says it’s a chance for people to take in art in ways they might not have had the opportunity to otherwise since it’s completely free and open to the public.
Stay tuned as we’ll bring you more details on this year’s Art on the Prairie event all week here on the Raccoon Valley Radio network.
