A deputy was northbound on Highway 4 south of Jefferson, when a deer ran onto the roadway and was struck by the patrol vehicle. Damage to the front bumper of the patrol vehicle was estimated to be $1500.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
