Panorama will host Eddyville Blakesburg Fremont tonight in the opening round of the Class 1A Iowa High School Football Playoffs. The Panthers finished the regular season 6-3 after losing back to back games in the first two weeks. “We figured a lot of things out during those first two games,” said Panorama Head Coach Lyle Alumbaugh. “We knew we had a very young team and that it would take time to get everybody on the same page. They certainly have played well.”
The Panthers are led by senior quarterback and linebacker Gavin Richey. Richey has thrown for over 1000 yards and rushed for 400 more plus leads the team in tackles with 86. The Panthers will have to stop a run heavy Rocket attack tonight.
“They like to come right at you with the power I. They will do a few counters but pretty much its my guy against yours and see if you can stop it. A lot of downhill running.”
