Greene County Community CenterEveryone is invited to the Greene County Community Center tomorrow for some Halloween fun.

Jefferson Parks and Recreation Director Vicky Lautner says they will have 15 games and activities for everyone to enjoy at the rec center tomorrow from 4-5pm.

She states that they will have Halloween-type games like pumpkin golf, pin-the-tail-on-the-cat, a tombstone toss, pumpkin bowling, candy guess and lots more.  Students with the Greene County High School Interact Club will help to run all the activities.  Participants can decorate a pumpkin to take home with them with pumpkin donations from Deal’s Orchard.

Lautner points out that tomorrow night’s event is also an opportunity for the public to see some of the rec center’s improvements and for those who have never been to the facility to see it in its entirety.

“And you know anytime anybody can come into the rec center and kind of look around, even though it is for an event, I think that’s a plus for us so they can see how nice the rec center is and possibly decide to come in and start using it.”

Kids and parents are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes and they will receive candy and other treats from donations from area businesses.  Pre-registration for the free event is at 3:45pm or by calling the rec center in Jefferson at 386-3412.
