Earlier this week, the Bell Tower Festival planning committee met in Jefferson.

Greene County Chamber Events Chair Toni Linberg says their main discussion item was about next year’s logo.  While plans are being finalized for the logo, Linberg hopes to have one created by the end of this year so they can decide on promotional items for the festival.

She adds that they are looking for an overall chairperson for the festival along with a chairperson for the art show, the community barbecue meal, wine tasting, car show and a high school class reunion coordinator.

Jefferson Parks and Recreation Director Vicky Lautner attended the meeting and said that they will continue to have a three-on-three basketball tournament, a bags tournament and their Ding-Dong-Dash race.  They are also looking into possibly adding sand volleyball.

Linberg points out that they are finalizing plans for Saturday’s evening musical entertainment but invites anyone who wants to be a part of the 36th Annual Bell Tower Festival to come to their every other Monday night meetings at Jefferson City Hall.

The next meeting will be Monday, November 8th at 5:30pm.
