Friday, October 24th

Dispatchers at the Law Enforcement Center received an abandoned E-911 call that mapped to the 1500 block of D Avenue. The origin of the call was never determined.

A deputy was advised by a resident in the 700 block of J Avenue of hearing gun shots on his property. The deputy was not able to locate the source of the gun shots.

A deputy was asked to check the welfare of several puppies and the mother dog in the 2200 block of M Avenue.

A deputy assisted the Department of Human Services with a child custody issue in Scranton.

A deputy was advised that he may be needed at a residence in 400 block of South Main Street in Paton. Two occupants of the residence were involved in a verbal domestic altercation with one person deciding to leave the residence and the deputy was no longer needed.

A deputy spoke with a resident in the 600 block of Dudley Street in Churdan about a no burn ordinance within the city limits.

Two deputies responded to the report of a burglary in progress in the 900 block of Hills Street in Churdan. It was determined that a former male resident of that address was retrieving some of his personal property that was left at the house. The deputies monitored what was being taken by the male.

A deputy investigated the report of a male being struck intentionally by the mirror of a pickup truck as he was walking near 15th and Main Street in Grand Junction. The altercation is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office at this time.

A deputy was not able to locate a reported careless driver westbound on Highway 30 from Grand Junction.

A deputy was asked to assist the Perry Police Department with locating a Rippey resident in the 300 block of 3rd Street. She was later spoken to by phone.

A deputy was advised of an accidental alarm activation by an employee at the Casey’s General Store in Grand Junction.

A deputy was not able to locate a reported car driving in excess of 80 MPH on Highway 30 near Rueter’s Red Power in Grand Junction.

Saturday, October 25th

A deputy investigated criminal mischief to 6 windows at an abandoned residence on the corner of 13th and Herron Street in Grand Junction. It was reported that 5 or 6 youth were using baseball bats to break the windows.

A deputy issued a DNR salvage tag for a deer that became stuck in a fence in the 1400 block of Kirkwood Avenue and was put down by the deputy due to its injuries.

A deputy issued another DNR salvage tag for a deer that was struck on Highway 30 near S Avenue.

A deputy was dispatched for the report of a burglary and criminal mischief to a machine shed in the 2300 block of 185th Street. It was undetermined if anything was taken from the shed and damage to the door was estimated to be $75.

A deputy assisted the Webster County Sheriff’s Office with a motorcycle accident that occurred in Webster County and the female driver was taken to the Greene County Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

A deputy was advised by the manager of the bar at 209 Main in Paton of a party bus that stopped at the restaurant and they had refused to serve under age passengers on the bus.

Sunday, October 26th

A deputy was dispatched to the 700 block of South 9th Street in Grand Junction to mediate a verbal altercation between several residents at the address.

A deputy was dispatched to a verbal domestic altercation in the 2200 block of 240th Street. After an investigation by the deputy, Amanda Pamela Collogan 29, was arrested for Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, 1st offense.

The Chief Deputy Sheriff, the Sheriff, and two patrol vehicles, including the K-9 unit from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and the Grand Junction Fire and Rescue all responded for the report of a car that had driven off the roadway and into a farm field on 230th Street near T Avenue. The driver was found by a Boone County Deputy to be walking on 230th Street towards Grand Junction. After a K-9 search of the vehicle and speaking with the driver, the Greene County Chief Deputy Sheriff arrested Tyler Anthony Kokenge 33, of Grand Junction for Operating While Intoxicated, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a class D Felony.

A deputy was dispatched to the 900 block of Stanton Street in Scranton to investigate  damage to a vehicle. It was not determined when the $2500 in damage occurred to the car.

A deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of Eckstine Street in Dana to help mediate a verbal altercation between a male and female occupant.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
