The Jefferson City Council will meet tonight.
The Council will hold a public hearing for an amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan. The proposed areas to be included in the Urban Renewal Area is installing water and sewer to Wild Rose Jefferson facility, as well as extending water and sewer to Mulberry Street north of US Highway 30 and relocating water service along Wall Street between High and Walnut streets to not exceed $600,000, not exceeding $800,000 of Tax Increment Financing to building a Cobblestone Hotel facility and using TIF funds for unsold lots in Lincoln Ridge Estates and Brairwood Subdivisions. The Council is expected to pass the resolution following the public hearing.
The Council will also consider approving another pay estimate to King Constrution for the 2014 Water Improvement Project and changing a previous payment to them for the same project.
Other agenda items the Council is expected to approve include an easement acquisition with Greene County, a resolution authorizing internal borrowing, making a payment for engineering services for utility improvements in the northwest area of the City, making the first payment to J&K Construction, LLC for the 2014 Water and Sewer Improvement Projects, a request for partial reimbursement of the Neighborhood Improvement Incentive Program, using Local Option Sales and Services Tax for water valve replacements and approving Hy-Vee, Incorporated’s plat of survey.
The meeting will be at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers.
