In case you missed it, ADM football fell at home to Winterset on Friday, 16-6. Here are some updated statistics from that game.

Quarterback Frank Weiland completed 27-of-42 passes (64.3%) for 298 yards with one touchdown and an interception. Blake Crannell was the team’s leading rusher with 16 yards on six carries, as the Tigers finished with -10 yards rushing as a team.

Jonathan Reel paced ADM with 11 receptions for 94 yards, while Jake Sloss continued his remarkable season with nine catches for a team-high 142 yards and his team-leading fourth touchdown grab of the year.

Defensively, linebacker Jesse Huen lead the way with 6.5 tackles, while Nathan Heath and Logan Lemke each had a solo sack. In total, seven different Tigers had at least four tackles.

The loss dropped ADM to 2-3 overall, 1-2 in district play play and 1-2 at home. That means as of now, ADM is on the outside looking in for a playoff spot with four weeks to go in the regular season. Four teams from Class-3A District 8 will make the playoffs — the Tigers currently sit in 5th place, behind Harlan — who is 1-1 in district play. Harlan in the only team in the district to have played only two district games to this point.

ADM travels to Creston this Friday for a date with the district-leading Panthers, who are 4-1 overall and 3-0 in district play. After Creston, however, the schedule becomes somewhat easier. In two weeks, the Tigers have a road matchup with Glenwood, who is 0-3 in district play. ADM finishes the season with Harlan at home on October 24, which could be a winner-take-all battle for the final playoff spot.
