A two vehicle accident results in heavy vehicle damage with minor injuries in Greene County.
Sheriff Steve Haupert says at 6:38pm on Friday, two deputies, Greene County Emergency Medical Services, Panora Rescue, Bayard Fire and Rescue and the Scranton Fire Department all responded to a two vehicle accident on Iowa Highway 25 and 330th Street, near the Greene and Guthrie County line.
Haupert states that 18 year-old David Russell Daley of Bayard was traveling north on Highway 25 when he attempted to turn left onto 330th Street and his 2001 Subaru L AWD hit a southbound vehicle driven by 41 year-old Jennifer Rose Brosh of Scranton.
Passengers in both vehicles were injured from the crash. Haupert notes that a 14 year-old girl in Daley’s vehicle was taken to the Greene County Medical Center by Greene County EMS for minor injuries and was released while 46 year-old David Douglas Brosh was transported to Saint Anthony’s Regional Hospital in Carroll by Panora Ambulance Service also with minor injuries and was released.
Haupert reports that everyone was wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident and Daley’s Subaru was a total loss and Brosh’s 2010 Nissan Murano sustained $12,000 in damages.
David Daley was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
