As part of the first-year review for Main Street Guthrie Center with Main Street Iowa, a partnership meeting will be held tomorrow for local organizations and entities.
Guthrie Center Chamber member Jen Policky says the Chamber, Main Street Guthrie Center, Guthrie Center Revitalization organization and other local entities will get together to discuss future plans for the City of Guthrie Center.
Chamber Board President Lonnie Carrick says with the downtown facade improvement project in its final stages and other improvements on the horizon, this meeting will help each entity get better organized for different projects.
“So many people doing great things in the community, it would be shameful if we were all focusing on one thing, when we should all be focusing on a whole bunch of different things as well. So getting together, everybody under one roof with different hats on to make sure that we’re focused on particular areas to continue with the great growth and happenings in Guthrie Center is just a great idea.”
The brainstorming session will be at the activities center in Guthrie Center at 3:15pm on Tuesday, September 30th.
