Friday, September 26th
A deputy was dispatched to a verbal altercation in the 400 block of South 15th Street in Grand Junction. All parties involved were found to be safe and agreed to resolve their issues peacefully.
The Chief Deputy Sheriff and K-9 Leo, assisted K-9 units from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and the Boone Police Department with a search of the Boone High School.
A black Labrador was brought to the Greene County Law Enforcement Center for a deputy to place in the animal shelter.
A deputy investigated a burglary and theft of a chain saw in the 1200 block of B Avenue.
Two deputies and units from the Greene County Emergency Medical Services, Panora Rescue, Bayard Fire and Rescue and the Scranton Fire Department all responded to a two vehicle accident on Highway 25 at 330th Street. A 2001 Subaru L AWD being driven by David Russell Daley 18, of Bayard, was traveling northbound on Highway 25 and attempting to turn left onto 330th Street when he turned in front of a south bound 2010 Nissan Murano being driven by Jennifer Rose Brosh 41, of rural Scranton. A passenger in the Daley vehicle, Marissa Marshal 14, of Bayard was transported by the Greene County EMS to the Greene County Medical Center for further evaluation and later released. David Douglas Brosh 46, a passenger in the Brosh vehicle was transported to the Saint Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll by the Panora Ambulance Service. Brosh was treated and later released from the hospital. The Brosh vehicle was estimated to have sustained $12,000 in damages. The Daley vehicle was estimated to be a total loss and David Daley was issued a citation for Failure to Yield upon a left turn.
Deputies were responding to the previous accident call and were not able to locate a reported careless and erratic driver on Highway 30 near Grand Junction.
A deputy investigated a reported harassment complaint in the 200 block of 175th Street. The deputy spoke with both parties involved concerning the harassment.
Saturday, September 27th
A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with checking a business alarm activation in Jefferson while the police officer was responding to a 911 call. The key holder and the deputy determined the building to be secure.
A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with trying to locate a reported suspicious person walking westbound on Lincolnway Street.
A deputy was dispatched to a burglary alarm activation at the 209 Main Restaurant in Paton. After an investigation by the deputy, the building was found to be secure.
A deputy responded to a barking dog complaint in 100 block of West 2nd Street in Rippey. The dog owner was spoken with and advised of the nuisance law. The animal control officer was advised of the calls.
A deputy was dispatched to the 600 block of State Street in Scranton to help resolve a personal property civil issue between a married couple.
A deputy was dispatched to the 600 block of Dudley Street in Churdan to investigate the report of careless driving.
A deputy responded to the Sparky’s One Stop in Churdan to check an elderly female that was in need of assistance.
Sunday, September 28th
A deputy was dispatched to the report of loud music in the 800 block of Percival Street in Grand Junction. The origin of the music was not determined.
A deputy and the Greene County Emergency Medical Services responded to a medical call in the 500 block of West Paton Street in Paton.
A deputy was asked to check for a reported suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of Irving Street in Scranton. The vehicle was not located at that time.
A deputy was dispatched to the Sparky’s One Stop in Churdan to investigate the report of a suspicious white vehicle. The vehicle had left the store before the deputy’s arrival.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
